What is the Continental Divide?

The Continental Divide, also known as the Great Divide, is the principal hydrological divide of the Americas. Running from Alaska to South America, it separates watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean from those that drain into the Atlantic (including the Gulf of Mexico).

In Colorado, the Continental Divide runs through the heart of the Rocky Mountains, often at elevations above 12,000 feet. This is where White Mountain Tours takes you.
