Colorado Snowmobile Tours

Nine tour formats designed for every rider, every group, and every mood. Pick the experience that fits your day.

White Mountain Tours operates from the Continental Divide between Copper Mountain and Leadville — one of the snowiest, most consistently rideable corners of Colorado. Our trail network covers more than 200 miles of groomed and ungroomed terrain, ranging from gentle valley loops perfect for first-timers to steep alpine bowls that challenge experienced riders. Each of the formats below uses the same fleet of late-model machines and the same team of certified guides, but the route, pace, and group composition differ to match the experience you want.

If you’re unsure which format fits, the daily tour is the right starting point for most visitors. It covers the highlights of our trail network in two to three hours, accommodates mixed skill levels, and lets you preview routes you might want to revisit on a longer or more specialized tour. For experienced riders, the backcountry and extreme options offer terrain you can’t access on the standard trail system. Photography, sunrise, and sunset tours emphasize the visual experience and run at a slower pace that keeps the camera steady.

Planning your tour

All tours include the snowmobile, helmet, goggles, boots, and bib-and-jacket layered gear sized to fit. You arrive in regular winter clothes and we layer you up at the staging area. Plan to be on-site about 30 minutes before your scheduled departure for paperwork, gear-up, and a short safety briefing. Most groups go from arrival to first throttle in about 25 minutes.

Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak weeks (Christmas through New Year, Presidents’ Day, Spring Break). Walk-ins are welcome when slots are available, but the most popular tour windows fill several days in advance. Cancellation policies are flexible — if weather or trail conditions force a change, we reschedule or refund without penalty.

Read our what to expect guide for the full pre-arrival checklist, or the gear checklist if you prefer to bring your own helmet or goggles.
